With the 2014 Tour de France running right through the heart of our region, we didn't hesitate to hold an exciting weekend of events to celebrate, supported by beautiful screen heritage programmes from Media Archive Central England.

We kicked off the weekend in Broxtowe Park Nottingham, with Six Days in Romandie playing throughout the day followed by an atmospheric evening screening of Saturday Night and Sunday Morning, not far from where the film was made.

The festivities continued to Saffron Screen on Sunday, with packed screenings of E.T and Chasing Legends on the Common.

Finally on Monday the tour whizzed right by the Art's Picturehouse with views of the start from the roof, and the Cambridge Film Trust had live coverage followed by the Jacques Tati classic Jour de Fête, and Tim Burton's Pee-Wee Big Adventure.
